Rangers are travel to Dundee Utd in the Scottish Cup and Celtic visit St Mirren in the SPL tonight. The Daily Record’s Paul Jain Previews.
Saints and Gers are both back in action tonight and it’s difficult to predict how they will respond after a Co-op Cup cracker.
Gers will no doubt be on a high heading to Tannadice for a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay – but how much have they left in the tank?
Saints will have to pick themselves off the floor – and Celtic could be the best or worst opponents.
The Buddies will be up for another massive contest but after five victories in six Tony Mowbray’s men seem to have beaten their slump.
I’m backing Celtic but they’re a biggest 4-11 with Coral and Stan James while I reckon Gers will do well to keep their Treble dream alive.
The Arabs were unlucky not to win at Ibrox and this one could go all the way. United are tempting at a best 7-2 with the likes of William Hill and Coral but I’m on the draw. To qualify United are 15-8 with Paddy Power and Gers are 4-11.
I flagged up the fact there had been more than three goals in 14 of the previous 16 meetings between the sides before their 3-3 draw. It should be more of the same tonight and three or more pays 5-6 with Victor Chandler while 2-2 is 18-1 with 888sport.
Rangers are 40-1 with Hill to repeat Sunday’s feat and win with nine men and 16-1 to have two sent off.
No reds for Gers is 1-7, one pays 4-1 and three or more 50-1.
United are 16-1, Gers 15-2 to win in extra time and it’s 12-1 United, 10-1 Gers to triumph on penalties. The tie to go all the way to a shootout is 5-1.
Saints had support at 11-1 to see off Rangers before the game started and are 10-1 with Skybet to beat Celtic.
Josh Thompson stole Robbie Keane’s thunder with the opener against St Johnstone on Saturday but Keane is the man to back tonight as he bids to take his tally to 10 in 10 games. He is 3-1 with Paddy Power.
Killie have lost four in a row after a great start under Jimmy Calderwood and may have to settle for a point at home to Hamilton.
