Nicholls has trained 27 Cheltenham Festival winners including 24 in the last eight years. He has also been leading trainer at the Festival in 5 of the last 7 years.
Of those still working, Edward O’Grady comes next in the rankings with 18 and is Ireland’s most successful trainer at the meeting.
Jonjo O’Neill and Willie Mullins both have 17 winners.
