BOXING BETTING: A cool £32k is up for grabs as eight light-middleweights do battle in the latest Prizefighter competition at the York Hall on Friday night.
Bradley Pryce is deemed the class act in the field and accordingly he’s the 3/1 favourite at Ladbrokes while Neil Sinclair is next in the betting at 4/1 (Betfred).
That pair meet in the quarter final and there’s rightly a feeling that the eventual winner will come from that bout. For Pryce it’s a matter of avoiding the inconsistencies that have dogged his career but he’ll certainly have his hands full against the big-hitting Sinclair, who knocked him out in 2003.
The latter, a veteran now at 36, may also benefit form the shorter fights and he could be the man to beat in Bethnal Green.
Unbeaten Steve O’Meara, a 7/1 shot with Stan James, can also plot a route to the final, despite facing a tough opener against Martin Concepcion but his light hands might ultimately be his undoing.
