Rangers travel to St Mirren in tonight’s televised SPL game whilst Celtic hots Hibs. The Old Firm double pays a shade under evens. Paul Jain previews
SPL fans enjoyed a super Sunday with 10 goals in matches at Falkirk and St Johnstone – and there could be plenty more tonight.
Incredibly, Celtic have netted in their last 12 league outings and Rangers in their previous nine. Both should continue those runs tonight with Celtic at home to Hibs and Gers travelling to St Mirren.
William Hill are asking which team will be first to stop Celtic scoring and go 11-2 Hibs, 6-1 Killie, 11-2 Hearts, 6-1 Aberdeen, 11-2 Dundee Utd, 9-2 Rangers. Others on request.
To deny Gers it’s 9-2 St Mirren, 5-1 Falkirk, 11-2 Motherwell, 9-2 Hibs, 17-2 St Johnstone and 4-1 Celtic. Others on request.
Having closed the gap at the top to seven points with a game in hand Celtic will desperate to see off Hibs.
It should be full of thrills and spills but ultimately I can see Tony Mowbray’s edging a win.
They are a biggest 2-5 with Ladbrokes while Hibs are 8-1 with Sportingbet. Hibs look decent value with Paddy Power at 4-6 plus two on the handicaps.
However, Celtic have won their last three at home to Hibs by exactly two goals and are 16-5 with to do so again. To win by one it’s 13-5, three 11-2 and four or more 13-2.
Marc-Antoine Fortune hit form with a double against St Johnstone and is evens with Hills to score, 4-1 to net first and 13-2 for two or more.
Derek Riordan is 9-1 with Hills to score first against his former team and 10-2 just to net. He is 5-2 to be booked and 10-1 to see red.
With Celtic making defensive changes Skybet go 18-1 they concede three or more and evens for a clean sheet.
Rangers are unbeaten in nine league games and as they go for 10 in a row William Hill are asking who will beat the next.
It’s 6-1 St Mirren, 9-1 Falkirk, 12-1 Motherwell, 11-2 Hibs, 9-1 St Johnstone and 16-5 Celtic. Others on request.
Gers are 16-1 not to lose another league game.
Walter Smith is boosted by the return of Kenny Miller, Nacho Novo and Steven Naismith so Rangers should beat a Saints side who are a biggest 15-2 with Skybet.
Betdaq make Gers 1-2 and Miller is a biggest 4-1 with Victor Chandler to score first on his comeback.
Dundee United can make it five wins on the spin by beating St Johnstone and while Motherwell should beat a Falkirk side who were woeful on Sunday.
The Arabs are 4-6 with Bet365 and Well 13-8 with Ladbrokes.
Hearts and Aberdeen are both on decent runs and it could be a low-scoring draw at Tynecastle. A stalemate can be backed at 12-5 at 888Sport.
