HORSE RACING: Coral make Godolphin’s Midshipman is 20-1 for the Dubai World Cup, ahead of his appearance on the opening night of the Dubai Carnival at Meydan.
Breeders’ Cup Classic runner-up Gio Ponti is Coral‘s 7-2 favourite for the world’s richest race, ahead of Henry Cecil’s Twice Over and the Royal Ascot winner Vision D’Etat, both 6-1.
“The Dubai Carnival has grown in popularity with British punters in recent yers, and although interest in the opening meeting may be quieter than usual here as everyone looks for clues from the new Tapeta track, we would expect business to be brisk in the coming weeks, with plenty of familiar names in action,” said Coral‘s David Stevens.
