CARDIFF, big winners at Bristol, are unlikely to make changes, although Darcy Blake, Solomon Taiwo and Chris Burke are pushing to start. Joe Ledley is set for a hip operation. Stephen McPhail and Josh Magennis are injured.
ROVERS may be without on-loan Jason Shackell (groin), while Dean Shiels (ankle) will have a late fitness test.
Coventry v Blackpool
COVENTRY, who have concerns over Freddy Eastwood’s knee injury, should have James McPake available after his migraine. Leon Barnett plays the last game of his loan spell, Jordan Clarke and Isaac Osbourneare injured.
BLACKPOOL have extended Barry Bannan’s loan until the end of the season. Jason Euell could return, but Stephen McPhee, Billy Clarke and Danny Coid are injured.
Crystal Palace v Peterborough
PALACE, with Victor Moses set to leave the administration-hit club, have injuries to Claude Davis, Paddy McCarthy, Sean Scannell and Darryl Flahavan, while Johnny Ertl (hamstring) is a concern.
POSH may have Craig Mackail-Smith back after illness, but Chris Whelpdale and Josh Simpson are struggling with knocks. Gabriel Zakuani (groin) is out and Craig Morgan suspended.
Derby v Nottingham Forest
DERBY hope to keep hold of on-loan striker DJ Campbell, who is set to return to parent club Leicester after this game. Kris Commons, Steven Davies and Chris Porter are pushing to start, Shaun Barker is carrying a knee problem.
FOREST’s Wes Morgan is a concern after limping off against QPR. James Perch is set to continue.
Leicester v Newcastle
Former Newcastle winger Nolberto Solano could make his debut for LEICESTER. Chris Powell could play as Bruno Berner (calf) is still out.
Mike Williamson has completed a permanent move to TOON, but there are concerns over Jose Enrique’s hamstring injury. Ryan Taylor is back from suspension, Danny Simpson and Steven Taylor are out injured.
Middlesbrough v Bristol City
BORO are hoping to have signed Stephen McManus in time. Chris Riggott is struggling with a hamstring injury, while Isaiah Osbourne is another doubt.
The ROBINS are set to make major changes after a 6-0 home thrashing by Cardiff. Lewin Nyatanga, Evander Sno, Marvin Elliott and Ivan Sproule could all start.
Preston v Ipswich
PRESTON are without Callum Davidson after he was knocked out at Peterborough. On-loan Danny Welbeck could make his home debut, but Paul Parry (knee) and Barry Nicholson (broken leg) are injured.
IPSWICH’s Jon Walters is out with a hamstring problem, Stern John and Tamas Priskin are pushing to start, but Richard Wright and Brian Murphy are still injured.
QPR v Scunthorpe
RANGERS, now without the departed Wayne Routledge and Patrick Agyemang, could give a start to Rowan Vine. Lee Cook is pushing for a place, Gareth Ainsworth has a calf problem, while Martin Rowlands and Gavin Mahon are injured.
The IRON’s Rob Jones will be fit after suffering cramp last time out. Michael O’Connor is back after suspension.
Reading v Barnsley
READING, with no fresh injury concerns, could give a debut to Zurab Khizanishvili. Noel Hunt and Chris Armstrong (knee) and Julian Kelly (shoulder) are injured.
BARNSLEY’s Rob Kozluk is out with a knee problem, while Bobby Hassell (knee) will return within two weeks. Darren Moore should retain his place, while striker Daniel Bogdanovic (knee) could return.
Sheff Wed v Plymouth
WEDNESDAY could give on-loan Luke Varney a start, while Francis Jeffers (hamstring) may be fit and Akpo Sodje is pushing to start. Jermaine Johnson and Tommy Miller (hamstring) are injured.
PLYMOUTH could be unchanged, as Jim Paterson (hamstring) is still sidelined while on-loan Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale is likely to keep his place.
Watford v Swansea
New signings Will Buckley and Stephen McGinn could make their WATFORD debuts, Scott Severin (groin) is a concern and Jon Harley should play despite transfer speculation.
SWANSEA’s new signing Shefki Kuqi could start – Gorka Pintado may make way, while Leon Britton could return. Cedric van der Gun (hamstring) is a concern, and Albert Serran (hamstring) is sidelined.
WBA v Sheff Utd
ALBION have concerns over Graham Dorrans (hip) and Roman Bednar (foot). Chris Brunt (head) should be fit, and Abdoulaye Meite has returned from African Nations Cup duty. Marcus Haber could make his debut. James Morrison (heel) is injured.
The BLADES have Andy Taylor (groin) and Marcel Seip (hamstring) out injured. Lee Williamson (hamstring) is a doubt.
