GOLF BETTING: Coral cut the odds against Tiger Woods not breaking Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18 Major wins to 3-1 from 4-1 following the news that he will take an indefinite break from Golf.
Despite this Coral still make him long odds-on at 2-9 to win the 5 Majors he needs to pass Nicklaus’s record.
Although Woods gave no indication how long his absence from the sport would last, Coral make him odds-on at 1-2 to play in the US Masters in April, and 6-4 against to miss his favourite Major.
“No-one, probably not even Tiger, knows how long he will be absent from Golf, but we reckon he will back chasing more Major titles at Augusta in April”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
Tiger Woods is 20-1 to quit professional golf for good before the end of 2010.
