Coral have slashed the odds on a March General Election to 13-8 from 9-4, having been 6-1 just days ago, in the face of some sizeable bets from respected sources.
“If money talks then we will be looking forward to a March General Election”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
“All the bets we have taken in the last 48 hours have been for a March polling date, including some placed by our shrewdest political punters”, added Clare.
A May General Election is the luke-warm 4-7 favourite but a continuation of the recent betting on March will see those odds lengthen.
The Conservative Party is the hot favourite at 1-12 to win most seats at the next Election with the Labour Party 13-2. However a hung parliament is a short price at 9-4.
