The triumph for the nine-year-old Kauto Star sees him eclipse the achievements of Desert Orchid, who won the traditional Christmas showpiece four times in the space of five years from 1986-91.
In what already looks like a two horse race for the Blue Ribbon showpiece in March, Kauto Star looks set to go head to head with Betfred’s 5/2 second favourite Denman once again.
