TOON’s Andy Carroll may return to the squad following his recent arrest, while Marlon Harewood could start. Kevin Nolan returns from suspension, Joey Barton has a foot injury.
Coventry v Peterborough
Out-of-form COVENTRY are without Jordan Clarke (knee ligament), while Richard Wood, Marcus Hall, Ben Turner, Isaac Osbourne, Sammy Clingan and Dimi Konstantopoulos are still injured. Stephen Wright returns from suspension.
POSH should have Gabriel Zakuani back from a groin injury, while Charlie Lee (dead leg) is also pushing for a place. Paul Coutts (shoulder) is a doubt.
Doncaster v Bristol City
ROVERS have concerns over midfielder Martin Woods (groin) – Simon Gillett is standing by to start, otherwise there are no fresh injury concerns.
The ROBINS will hope to have skipper Louis Carey fit after his groin injury, with Liam Fontaine set to make way. Bradley Orr and Ivan Sproule will hope to retain their places.
Ipswich v Blackpool
The TRACTOR BOYS will give winger Lee Martin (heel) every chance to prove his fitness, while Alex Bruce is still struggling with a groin injury. David Norris (knee) is close to a return.
BLACKPOOL will bring back keeper Matt Gilks. Rob Edwards (eye) is a doubt along with Ben Burgess and Billy Clarke (both knee).
Leicester v Sheffield Wed
FOXES striker Martyn Waghorn begins his three-game ban after seeing red on Tuesday, Matty Fryatt could start. Robbie Neilson, Lloyd Dyer, Nicky Adams, Steve Howard and Yann Kermorgant are pushing for places.
WEDNESDAY are unlikely to ring the changes, with Michael Gray, Tom Soares, Luke Varney and Etienne Esajas all struggling to break into the XI.
Preston v Plymouth
PRESTON will give Billy Jones (ankle) every chance to prove his fitness, although Eddie Nolan could start. Youl Mawene (knee) and Barry Nicholson (broken leg) are still injured.
PLYMOUTH are without the suspended Shane Lowry after his red card at swansea. Yoann Folly is a doubt with an ankle problem, while David Gray (hamstring) is a concern.
Reading v Scunthorpe
The ROYALS will hope Simon Church (back) is fit in time, although Shane Long (suspension) is a definite absentee. Noel Hunt (knee) and Brian Howard (broken jaw) are out injured
The IRON are without suspended goalkeeper Joe Murphy, so Josh Lillis steps in. Martyn Woolford (foot) and Michael O’Connor (dead leg) are doubts.
Sheff Utd v Crystal Palace
The BLADES are still without leading goalscorer Darius Henderson thanks to his hip injury. On-loan Tony Kallio is struggling with illness, Derek Geary could start, and Gary Naysmith may be included.
PALACE’s Freddie Sears and Sean Scannell are pushing for starting places. Paddy McCarthy (shoulder) is out, while Lee Hills returns from suspension.
Swansea v Nottingham Forest
The SWANS will give Craig Beattie (knee) a late fitness test. Alan Tate is back from suspension, but Garry Monk (calf) and Thomas Butler (knee) are injured.
FOREST have no major new injury problems. Guy Moussi is still struggling with an ankle injury, Julian Bennett (knee) is out, while Joe Garner and James Perch could make the squad.
Watford v Derby
WATFORD’s on-loan striker Heidar Helguson is eligible again. Henri Lansbury (hip) will have a late fitness test, and Jay DeMerit could make his first start since August.
DERBY may have Jake Buxton ready after he featured for the reserves. Shaun Barker (thigh) is a major concern, while Dean Leacock (hamstring) and Miles Addison (foot) are doubts.
Middlesbrough v Cardiff
BORO will hope skipper Gary O’Neil can make the game despite being accidentally knocked against Blackpool. Chris Riggott is pushing for a place, but still injured are Jeremie Aliadiere, Seb Hines, Caleb Folan and Matthew Bates.
CARDIFF’s Joe Ledley (hip and groin). Riccy Scimeca, Kevin McNaughton and Kelvin Etuhu are all doubts, while Jay Bothroyd returns from suspension.
