England’s Ross Fisher is the new Volvo World Match Play champion after a 4&3 victory over American Anthony Kim at Finca Cortesin in Spain.
The 28-year-old was never behind in the 36-hole final and collects a cheque for over £675,000.
Kim, also making his debut, was trying to become the event’s youngest winner at 24, but made far too many mistakes.
His compensation, though, was more than £405,000.
