Live on SS1 & 3: Thu 10.30 & 20.00: Angus Loughran previews this week’s Seve Trophy and The BMW Champs and picks his Selections:
Continental Europe look the bet at 4/5 with Boylesports to win this week’s Vivendi Seve Trophy with the in form Thomas Bjorn the value at 8/1 to be their top points scorer (bet365). Lee Westwood at 4/1 with Ladbrokes appears the obvious top scorer for GB and Ireland.
Luke Donald is 12/1 market leader at Cog Hill with Sportingbet where the Fedex Cup reaches its 2nd last week and defending champ Dustin Johnson has a great chance to win again at 16/1 this year (William Hill).
Matt Kuchar looks the safe each way bet at 22/1 with Betfred while Nick Watney (25/1, ) played far better than his finishing position suggests in Deutsche Bank last time because of one nightmare hole in the final round.
For those who like the bigger odds, Bo Van Pelt at 66/1 (Betdaq) and KJ Choi, also at 66/1 (Sportingbet), look overpriced; Choi having won the Players in May and finished 3rd last year here seems exceptional each way value.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
