Live on SS1 : Thu 10.30: Following his 55/1 Bjorn win last week, Angus Loughran previews this week’s KLM Open and picks his Selections:
Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer lead the way as 8/1 co-favourites with Coral at the KLM Dutch Open this week and with driving such a key here it has to be Lee Westwood to come home as pick of the trio but with wind forecast all week, and heavy rain likely on Thursday, there may well be a shock winner or someone who gets lucky with the draw and can handle conditions.
Course winner Martin Lafeber is a huge price at 150/1 with Totesport and he is one of the straightest hitters on Tour while 100/1 about Felipe Aguillar with Betfred looks very generous.
To complete my trio of big outsiders this week, Paul Lawrie, who can never be dismissed when conditions turn nasty, is available at a tasty 110/1 (bet365).
An each way bet on these three, 1/4 odds first 5, and a win bet at 8/1 on Westwood looks to be the right strategy in Holland this week.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
