Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Wednesday; Not So Sobers (aban) in the 1.10 at Hexham and Booster Bob 2.10 at Warwick. | Free Bets |
A bumper winner at the second attempt at Market Rasen in the spring, Not So Sobers (aban) ran into The New Lion on debut and ran well in fourth at Cheltenham in October, form which was franked by the front two at the same track on Sunday. A son of Jack Hobbs who likes decent ground, he should be hard to beat at Hexham, with the one slight concern being the form of his stable.
Up at Warwick Booster Bob (2:10) can win what appears to be a cracking novices’ handicap chase, sponsored by Weatherbys and Northampton Town FC. He jumped well when winning on debut at Ffos Las (3rd won since) and a 6lbs rise looks more than fair. This looks a stronger race with Helnwein and Telepathique greatly respected, but with Olly Murphy’s horses in such good order, the six-year-old is fancied to make it 2-2 over fences.
Wednesday’s selections:
1:10 Hexham – Not So Sobers; Abandoned
2:10 Warwick – Booster Bob; 10/3 Bet365
