Paul Ferguson two selections from Cheltenham for us on Friday; Latest Exhibition at 2.50 and Al Boum Photo at 3.30.
Al Boum Photo (3:30) can become the first horse since Best Mate to win back-to-back renewals of the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Last year’s impressive winner has run just once this season, when winning at Tramore, and his season has been geared around retaining his crown.
Earlier on the card, the Albert Bartlett looks a good renewal, but I think Latest Exhibition (2:50) looks a solid option and should be backed each-way. The winner of both races since going up in distance (had earlier finished runner-up to Abacadabras over 2m) he was staying on strongly in the closing stages over 2m6f last time, suggesting that he will appreciate the step up to 3m.
