Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on day two of the Cheltenham Festival; Peregrine Run @ 2.50 and Project Bluebook at 4:50. Preview…
Wednesday’s feature is all about Douvan who should make it 10 from 10 over fences in the Queen Mother Champion Chase, but it is again a couple of each-way selections in the handicaps for me.
First up is Peregrine Run (2:50) who looks potentially well handicapped based on his course-and-distance defeat of Wholestone and West Approach. That was back in November and those two have since advertised the form, while he finished a creditable third behind Willoughby Court on unsuitably soft ground in a Grade 2 novice contest at Warwick. That race has also worked out well.
At his best on good ground, conditions appear to have come right for Peter Fahey’s King’s Theatre gelding who is still very much on an upward curve.
Later on the card Project Bluebook (4:50) is fancied to go well in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
Twice a winner on good ground at Musselburgh, he met trouble in running when beaten at the same track last time and was dropped 3lbs for that sound effort. A speedy sort, the race should be run to suit and he hails from a yard that is very much respected with their juvenile hurdlers.
Wednesday’s selections:

4:50 Cheltenham Festival: Project Bluebook; 14/1 Paddy Power
