People always have their certainties for Premier League relegation but one team always upsets the applecart. Remember Newcastle last season? Free Bets
There are probably a dozen teams that can be relegated from the Premier League next season. Hull are even money (Paddy Power) to make their stay in the top flight a short one and you can get the same odds with Sky Bet that Burnley are a Championship team for the 2017/18 campaign.
However, it sometimes pays to look away from the promoted teams, with Watford and Bournemouth both staying up last term. Middlesbrough are a 6/4 shot with bet365 to suffer the drop, although Aitor Karanka has been plotting a season of safety.
Who else could be in trouble this term? Watford are a 9/4 chance with BetVictor and Walter Mazzarri is an unknown quantity in England, with the Hornets having fared badly during the second half of last season.
West Brom are a 5/2 chance (Paddy Power) although since when did Tony Pulis ever suffer the drop in the Premier League, with Sunderland on offer at 3/1 (Ladbrokes) and that could be a tasty price if Sam Allardyce leaves to manage England.
Bournemouth are a 10/3 poke, with Ladbrokes offering the best price about the Cherries getting relegated, although Eddie Howe has not put a foot wrong at the Vitality Stadium and others might be more vulnerable.
At bigger odds, Swansea are a 4/1 chance (William Hill) and seem to be short of firepower, with Crystal Palace a 6/1 poke (bet365) and they suffered a slump last term after a decent start.
At 11/1 is Stoke City although the Potters could be progressive, with last season’s champions Leicester City available at a tasty 16/1 (William Hill) and it appears that Riyad Mahrez could follow N’Golo Kante out of the door.
Southampton are the other side that could struggle at 20/1 (BetVictor). With Ronald Koeman leaving and the depature of Pelle and Mane, it could be that the Saints suffer a slump.
