We’ve got a midweek programme of Premier League fixtures and Tuesday night includes eight matches, with BT Sport televising West Ham’s clash against Aston Villa.
West Ham United were the better side during a recent 2-2 draw with Manchester City, so it’s somewhat of a surprise to see them at 10/11 (Sky Bet) to beat an Aston Villa side propping up the division.
Slaven Bilic’s team sit sixth in the Premier League table and the return of Dimitri Payet has boosted the Hammers, with William Hill offering 15/8 that they win to nil.
However, the Villans are unbeaten in their last five. They ground out a goalless draw at The Hawthorns recently and you can get 5/2 (Stan James) that this one ends all square.
The visitors are ten points adrift of safety and might have to be more adventurous here, with BetVictor quoting 19/5 that they land the win so desperately required at this stage.
Elsewhere, Arsenal resume their title charge at home to Southampton and Stan James go 4/5 about the Gunners, although the Saints recently won at Old Trafford and they can be backed at 17/4 (BetVictor) to complete a rare double.
Leicester City are the league leaders and it’s a surprise to see 31/20 (BetVictor) that the Foxes beat a Liverpool side who have played a lot of matches recently. The Reds are hard to predict although Ladbrokes offer 15/8 for anyone wanting to back the visitors.
Norwich conceded five goals in their last home match and the layers are prepared to quote 10/3 (William Hill) that the Canaries beat a Tottenham side firmly in the title running, with the visitors looking a decent shout at 10/11 (bet365).
Sunderland were whipped at home to Manchester City in the Capital One Cup and the title favourites are 8/15 (Stan James) to claim another victory at the Stadium of Light even if Kevin de Bruyne is injured. The Black Cats will be up for the scrap although Paddy Power go 6/1 about the home win.
Crystal Palace are 5/4 with Winner to beat a Bournemouth side winning their fight against relegation, with the Cherries 5/2 (BetVictor) to claim another precious three-point haul.
Manchester United look too short at 3/4 (William Hill) to beat a decent Stoke side who claimed three points on Boxing Day against the same opponents. The Potters are 5/1 (BetVictor) to make it a double.
Finally, West Brom and Swansea could be a borefest and the draw (21/10 bet365) makes more appeal than the home or away win. However, the Swans recently won at Everton and can be backed at 85/40 (BetVictor).
