Live on Sky Sports 4: Thu 09:00 & 18:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s Turkish Open and McGladrey Classic tournaments.
Tiger Woods is market leader at 5/1 for this week’s Turkish Airlines Open and after coming over to Abu Dhabi earlier in the year and missing the cut he will be hoping to return home a winner.
However, Woods is not certain to have things all his own way at a course which he knows so little about so his backers might fancy Stan James’s 7/5 for him to beat Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson in his first round 3-ball.
Justin Rose at 11/1 is second best in market but I like the chances of Martin Kaymer at 15/1. The outsiders who should go well are Tommy Fleetwood at 66/1 and 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen, who at 40/1 is still on the road to recovery following a lengthy lay-off.
The McGladrey Classic looks like a punter’s minefield with Webb Simpson the 10/1 favourite. I expect Zach Johnson to go well here at 14/1 with David Toms also looking good value at 55/1. Harris English is a player to keep on your side over next few months and is available here at 25/1.
The European Season reaches a thrilling climax in Dubai next week.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
