Live on Sky Sports 4: Thu 03:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s WGC – HSBC Champions tournament
Rory Mcllroy is 12/1 market leader for this weeks WGC HSBC and he is clearly the man to beat in what has been a year to forget. The Northern Irishman hasn’t become a bad player overnight of course and he has played some wonderful golf here at Sheshan in the past so he can finally secure a welcome victory.
Francesco Molinari put in a storming finish in last weekends BMW Championship and also won here three years ago so looks overpriced this week at 35/1 with bet365.
Jordan Speith meanwhile, is about to realise the merits to his sensational second half of the season on the PGA Tour and at 33/1 looks worth taking a chance with on a course that looks sure to suit.
Speith is the real deal and I expect him and Mcllroy to have some tremendous tussles on the golf course over the next few seasons.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
