Live on Sky Sports 2 & 3, Thu: 10.00 & 20:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s Fed Ex St Jude and Lyoness Open tournaments.
Bernd Wiesberger is market leader at 13/2 (Stan James) and very much the man to beat in what looks a rather low key Lyoness Open in Austria, this is a course he loves and he showed after a decent finish in Sweden last weekend he will be hard to beat but I must admit I was hoping for a bigger price.
Thomas Bjorn played well last week and looks good value at 18/1 (William Hill) while Andreas Harto is an outsider who may be overpriced at 125/1 with Bet365 and should give those who like a big price a decent run for their money.
Matt Kuchar was a well deserved winner of Memorial last week and at 25/1 (BetVictor) is a must for everyones shortlist in next weeks US Open. Phil Mickleson and Brandt Snedeker head the market at 14/1 (Ladbrokes) for this weeks St Jude Classic.
Ryan Palmer takes my eye here at 25/1 with Paddy Power as does recent winner Boo Weekley whom is a bigger price than anticipated at 33/1 (Stan James) while I have by no means lost faith in Bud Cauley who looks sure to be a star of the future and is available at a tempting 80/1 with Betfred this week.
These are two low key events ahead of Merrion next week where the Worlds finest gather for 2013 US Open and my early fancies for that are Matt Kuchar and Graeme McDowell.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
