Live on Sky Sports 1 & 3: Thu 06:00 & 20:00 Angus Loughran previews this week’s Ballentines and Zuricj Classic tournaments
A first European win on PGA Tour in 2013 came on Sunday when Graeme McDowell held off Tim Simpson to win in the wind at The Heritage it was a big win for McDowell who showed how to master the tricky conditions he was brought up on.
This weeks Zurich Classic has a decent field with Justin Rose the market leader at 12/1 he should go well but I like a couple of American outsiders at 50/1. Corals go that price on Charley Hoffman who blew up on Sunday but clearly couldn’t handle strong wind he played really well earlier in the week and with the wind not as strong should not be this price in current form while Jeff Overton is generally available at 50/1 which looks over the odds.
The Ballantines Championship has been hit by American withdraws and Simon Dyson at 100/1 catches eye here with Stan James he is not in great form but plays these type of courses well and if getting into contention would prove hard to beat Louis Oosthuizen is 10/1 market leader and was flown by private plane to play Ernie Els gave him positive vibes about the place and he should give backers a decent run but needs to putt better than he did at Augusta but the rest of his game is in great shape while this looks the ideal chance for Paul Casey to bounce back to form and 50/1 looks over the odds on the talented Englishman at Ladbrokes
Good luck
