Mario Balotelli bagged a brace on Thursday and is now 6/5 to be top scorer with Stan James while Italy are 8/5 to lift the cup.
Stan James’ Rory Jiwani said, “Before Sunday, this had been a terrible tournament for the bookies but every result since has gone our way. Germany had looked the team to beat before tonight and were 2/5 to reach the final, but Italy proved to be their bogey team yet again. Mario Balotelli showed what he is capable of and it’s Italy who go through to meet holders Spain.
“Italy will be underdogs again in the final and are 3/1 to win in 90 minutes with Spain 11/10 favourites and the draw 9/4. Spain are 4/7 to become the first nation to retain the European Championship with Italy 8/5 to take the crown.”
“Balotelli is now 6/5 to be the tournament’s top goalscorer. He’s level on three goals with Mario Gomez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Mandzukic and Alan Dzagoev but the only one with a chance of increasing his tally. Those four players are 8/1 with Fernando Torres on two goals next best at 10/1. Dead heat rules apply but Balotelli is the clear favourite to be top of the pile.”
